Show M. I. A. Union Meeting Well Attended M. I. A. union meeting for Alpine Stake held Sunday afternoon, April 21, at 2 p. m. in the Alpine Stake Tabernacle, was largely attended and much appreciated. Thirl Marsh, a recently returned missionary from the Central States and a new member of the M. I. A. stake board, gave a most interesting talk. He also discussed dis-cussed his new work on the board, that of the Van Guard department. C. A. Grant of the M. I. A. presidency presi-dency gave a talk along the line of contest work, and gave a brief discussion discus-sion of the coming contests. Musical numbers consisted of a ladies trio from the Third ward, a vocal solo by Rulon Nicholes and an organ solo by Quentin Greenwood. In the Beehive department, Dr. G. S. Richards gave a most educational and interesting talk. Mrs. J. P. Fugal gave a talk on floriculture in the Junior department. Flower culture is the project this year for the Junior girls. The executive department discussed discuss-ed the rules and regulations, date, etc. for the coming M. I. A. contests, and also made plans for the summer work. n |
