Walker and Jesse thorne returned Thursday from a business trip thru Texas and the adjoining slates. The Daughters of the Pioneers, Lindon Camp, held a program and social at their meeting house Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. Mrs. Lavina Fugal gave a talk on "Home Gardens and Flower Growing" at the Manila, Ward Relief Society Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cragun and family attended a birthday party at Springville Tuesday in honor of Mrs. Cragun's father's 77th birthday. The Stake Board of the Relief Society held a business meeting, followed fol-lowed by a social, at the home of Mrs. Erne B. Adamson Friday afternoon. Russell Keetch, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. A. G. Keelch, and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Bulah Keetch, spent Tuesday in Salt Lake on business busi-ness and pleasure. S. I. Moore Jr. made a business trip to Payson Saturday. Mrs. Bonis Driggs is spending a month in California visiting with rel-a'ivc-a W. K. Theobald of Salt f-ak?, spent Wednesday visiting with h:s brother, .1. L. Theobald. Dr. ,f. L. Mrs. James Adamson, Mrs. Wesley Jense and Miss Reva Jense made a trip to Salt Lake Thursday on business busi-ness and pleasure. The roof of the Clark Opera House is being repaired. Citizens are wondering wond-ering what use will be made of the building after the repairs are made. Mrs. May Harris entertained Thursday Thurs-day afternoon in honor of her daughters, daught-ers, Mrs. Theressa Carrol of Midway, and Mrs. Nellie Weeks of Provo canyon. can-yon. M'r. and Mrs. Allen Noble, who have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Don-ald Noble, left for Salt Lake Sunday where Mr. Noble returned to his former form-er employment. Mrs. Effle B. Adamson entertained at dinner Thursday in honor of Mrs. Ella Halliday and Mrs. Sadie Williams Will-iams of Salt Lake, Mrs. J. S. Holda-way Holda-way and Mrs. Thomas Jense of this city. Mrs. Clifford L. Wright was operated oper-ated on Saturday morning at the L. D. S. hospital for goitre. Mr. Wright spent Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake to be near her. He reports that she is getting along as well as can be expected. The Bee Hive girls of the Manila ward will present a one-act play "The Happy Hour" in the Manila ward hall Saturday evening, April 27, at 8 p. m. The B. Y. U. Service Department will give a splendid program' in connection connec-tion with the play. The public is in-, vited. A shower was given Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. V. Swenson in honor of Miss VeLoy Petersen, Pet-ersen, fiancee of Blaine W. Warnick. Miss Petersen is the daughter of Mrs. J. S. Petersen of Brigham City. Assisting the hostess were Mrs. C. L. Warnick, Angelyn and Mariam War-nick, War-nick, Marvel Atwood and Emma Lud-wigson. Lud-wigson. Fifty relatives and friends of the Manila ward were present, and The Sea Gull Girls of the First Ward entertained in honor of their mothers Friday evening. April 19, at the home of Mrs. Hazel Spencer. The mothers present were: Mrs. Pear! Wadley, Mrs. G. E. Oscarson, Mrs. Pearl Adams, Mrs. Jane Armit stead, Mrs. Gertrude Pdackhurst, Mrs. Lacy White, Mrs. Ella Tomlinson, Mrs. Ida Williamson, Mrs. Mabel Weeks, Mrs. Josie Wright and Mrs. Chloe West. Special invited guests were: Mrs. Alex Thornton, Mrs. Margaret ! Olpin and Mrs. Oral Wright.
