Show M. I. A. Contestants Ready: Cotillian Fete Next Wednesday Wed-nesday Night At Apollo According to official announcements announce-ments concerning the 61. I. A. contests, con-tests, Alpine Stake is ready for action. ac-tion. The American Fork district is holding their contests commencing next Wednesday evening, April 1, at which time the Cotillian entrants will dance for honors. This event will be in connection with the weekly dance at the Apollo Hall. There are five sets of entrants for this event entering from the American Fork 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th wards, and Alpine. Friday evening, May 10, the contest for the other events will be held. The Drama contest will be conducted in the American Fork First ward. The singing events which include the ladies trio, double mixed quartet, M Hens quartet and dance orchestra will be held in the Assembly Hall of the Stake Tabernacle. The public speaking contest from the Gleaner Girls aud M Ken will be given in the Tabernacle basement. There is no charge for these events. The public is given a most cordial invitation to be present, and judging from previous years' contests, a real evening's entertainment is, in store for everyone. The winners from the local contest will go to Provo, Monday, April 13, where they will compete with winners from the other close districts. If they are successful, they next go to Pay-son, Pay-son, May 21, where they contest with districts from Southern Utah points. The winners at this time, go to Salt Lake City for the church finals. The entire community joins in wishing continued success to the Alpine Al-pine District representatives. |
