Officers Installed at luncheon: The new officers were officially in-8tal!ed in-8tal!ed during the banquet, over hico J L. Firmage presided as Lstmaster. Each of the outgoing and incoming officers gave talks which were intersperced with an extra ex-tra amount of fast, clean fun injected bv Earl Holmstead, district twenty-eight's twenty-eight's best tail-twister, and toast-master toast-master J- L. Firmage. A male quartette quar-tette from the B. Y. TJ.. Mrs. J. L, Firmage, accompanied by Mrs. Walter Walt-er A. Strange and Mrs. Melva Boyle entertained with vocal and piano selections. The outgoing officers are Martin Nielsen president, S. T. Shelley secretary, secre-tary, Vern Walker treasurer, Wm. Thornton, John H. Miller and W. R. Halliday directors, D. D. Smith, lion tamer and C. A. Grant musical director. direc-tor. Officers officially installed included, Dr. G. S. Richards, president; C. A. Grant, 1st vice-president; Marius Hansen, 2nd vice-president; John Robinson, 3rd vice-president; Vern Walker, secretary ; E. H. Boley, treasurer; treas-urer; Earl Holmstead, tail-twister; T. A. Barratt, lion tamer; Dr. Allan G. Brockbank, musical director and David Davis, L. R. Pett, A. F. Gais-ford, Gais-ford, Jr., John Miller and Martin Nielsen, directors. The president and secretary and past president and past secretary each received special pins designating their positions. Tail-twister Earl Holmstead was also presented with a special Lion insignia gold ring in token of the splendid manner in which he has handled the office of tail-twister for the past two years. Dr. J. M. Grant made this presentation presenta-tion speach. One of the special Btunts of the evening and one which created a great amount of fun, was the initiation initia-tion of Beven new members, Eugene Nicholes, IJ. A. West, Leo Meredith, Sanford Walker, William Preston, W. L Johnson and Karl Bennett. They were "dolled" up to represent 1929 flappers and put over the doll dance and a wedding revue. Karl was the bride, William Preston the groom, L. W. Johnson the minister and the balance were dancing beauties. Another feature was an announcement announce-ment by Mrs. Martin Nielsen, as rep-rcsenitive rep-rcsenitive of the Ladies Literary club, "at a beautiful oil painting of a mountain scene, which hung in the room, had been purchased from the Springville art exhibit and was to be presented to the American Fork high school. The picture was valued at 51,000. Following the banquet the group enjoyed the balance of the evening at a triidic" dance where special signs "u traffic regulations were used to "rate extra fun.
