Show Mrs. Annie Newman arrived home Sunday from Helper, where she has been the past two weeks visiting her daughter. Harry Parker, who has been employed em-ployed in Salt Lake City by, the Mt. States Tel. and Tel. Co., has been transferred to the Provo office of the Telephone company. He commenced his new activities Monday. Mrs. G. S. Richards entertained at a birthday party last Friday afternoon in honor of the tenth anniversary of her son, Guy. The guest list included includ-ed ten boy friends. Games were enjoyed, en-joyed, followed by delicious refreshments. Complimentary to the fifth birthday birth-day anniversary of her little daughter, daught-er, Naomi, Mrs. Hary Steele entertained enter-tained Monday afternoon. Games and music was enjoyed by the little folks, followed by dainty refreshments. There were twenty five present. Miss Irma Bassett returned to American Fork from Salt Lake City last Friday, where she spent several days visiting friends. A delicious dinner was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Bird Saturday evening, following a party at the Paramount theatre, Provo, where the group attended "Broadway Eldon Nelson returned to Dividend Tuesday, after a several days visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Niels Nelson. Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Iverson announce an-nounce the engagement of then-daughter, then-daughter, lone, to Ralph Curtis of Salt Lake City. The marriage is to be solemnized next month. Miss Iverson is well known in this city, and has a host of friends wishing her future success and happiness. Mrs. Leo Meredith attended luncheon lunch-eon Thursday afternoon in Provo given at the home of Mrs. Eugene Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Draper are the proud parents of a fine baby boy born last week. All concerned are doing very nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dudley are the proud parents of a fine baby girl born Tuesday morning. Mother and babe are doing very nicely. At the Social Service meeting Tuesday Tues-day afternoon, Mrs. Mable Nelson, Primary grade supervisor, gave a most interesting lesson on "Mental Tests and Superior Mental Children." Miss Orpha Robinson gave a reading read-ing and Miss lone Russon a vocal selection during the program. There was only a fair attendance present, due to the inclement weather. Melody": Mr. and Mrs. J. Halliday and Mrs. Adelaide j Beach, motored to Provo as a com-i com-i mittee to consult Professor Eastman of the Brigham Young University in regards to the pageant to be given under the direction of the Aaronic Priesthood of the High Council and the Community Activity committee of the Stake M. I A. at the celebration Mr. and Mrs. "W. J. Bartlet and baby daughter of Helper, left for their home Tuesday, after a week's visit here with Mr. and Mrs. DeLos Adams. The Bartlet family visited here en-route en-route from California; -where they enjoyed en-joyed a month's vacation. The G. A. Club and their partners were entertained "Wednesday evening at the home of M'r. and Mrs. Rudolph Clark. County Agent, W. J. Thayne, was present and gave a splendid talk, after which Mr. Clark sang a vocal j selection. Following the program, aj delicious luncheon was served.
