Show DECORATION DAY Itistobe regretted that Milford will have no formal exercises this year to commemorate the sacrifice of the soldier sol-dier dead, but it would be au excellent opportunity for those having lots iu the cemetery, as well as other citizens, to give several hours that day toward helping in the work of beautifying the cemetery grounds. The Superintendent Superintend-ent states that work is being, rushed ou the grounds and by next Tuesday, the grading will be pretty well along. The NEWS understands that hereafter here-after no more wooden fences, or even iron fences, will be allowed, outside of a low concrete curbing around lots. While the use of wooden head boards etc. is not forbidden, still, we understand it is not the desire of the town board that these be used. The Town Clerk we are told, is in a position to give full information as to what restrictions govern the use of the cemetery. The improvement work being done Is of a good, substantial character and should add much to the attractiveness of the place. |
