Show To Drive Dull Care Away What's Doing in the Local Social Circles Mrs. J. A. Ingols and Miss Ruth Thiessen entertained the members of the O. E. S. Club, Wednesday, at the home of the former. Potted plants formed a pretty decorative effect in the rooms. That ever popular game "500" was the chief pastime, and the prizes went to Miss Nina Thiessen, Mrs. George Jefferson, Mrs. Boyter and Mrs. J. M. Williams. Iu honor of the tenth anniversary of Mrs. Elmer's marriage, the members of the Club presented her with a beautiful gift. A well-appointed luncheon was enjoyed by the guests. Those present were Mesdame9 Berkheimer, Boyter, Blunt, Niohols, Lemon, Jefferson, Elmer, H. W. William, J. M. Williams, Ingols, Hunter; the Misses Nina and Ruth Thiessen. Mrs. George Jefferson and Mrs. R. C. Lemon will entertain the Club May 31st. On Friday afternoon, members of the Friday Afternoon Ciub met at the home of Mrs. Berkheimer and the afternoon was spent in sewing, after which luncheon was served. The next meet-' meet-' ing will be at the home of Mrs. Boyter. On Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Elmer entertaintained a few triends in honor of the tenth anniversary annivers-ary of their wedding. This being the "tin" wedding, gifts ranging from tin wb'stles to tin wash-tubs helped along the gaiety of tho occasion. A toothsome repast was served late in I the evening, and the couple received the congratulationi of their frieuds. |
