Show Advertising Extraordinary Beaver County, and Especially Milford to Receive the Most Effective Publicity Ever Attempted Local Business Men's Association Endorses Plan I What will undoubtedly prove to be the most effective and far reaching publicity plan that Beaver County in general has ever undertaken, has just been inaugurated in Milford by A. C. Jenson, of the Industrial Department of the Salt Luke Route. Aud, by the way, remember to call it simply the "Salt Lake Route," hereafter, for the old title has been officially discarded, we are informed. A NEWS representative had a pleasant half-hour talk with Mr. Jensen, who uufolded the proposed campaign plans in all their details. Briefly, the plan is to have the Business Men's Association of Milford unite with the Industrial Department Depart-ment of the Salt Lake Route, in the preparation and issuance of a special edition of the "Arrowhead," the magazine which represents that special department of that read. The local data for this special number will be furnished by the local business men, together with cuts of prominent buildings, build-ings, mines, ranches, etc., and the Arrowhead uresses will turn out one cf the handsomest issues ever sent )Ut. These special editions will be furnished to every seller of coupon tickets iu che east, and every person buying a ticket to the west will receive free, a copy of this book, for such it really is. Folded in the book will be a neat proclamation of the Governor of Utah, inviting the homeseekers and investors to visit Utah in general, and each county and community will also have a special invitation to visit, that particular point. The Business Men's Association will be asked to take a certain number of copies and others who care to engage copies, may also do so. The Business Men's Association held a special meeting meet-ing Wednesday night in I. O. O. F. Hall to consider the proposition. Wednesday evening a special meeting meet-ing of the Business Men's Association was called to consider how that body can assist in this publicity campaign. In the absence of President Hanks, Vice President C. E. Oline presided. After a thorough discussion of the matter a committee was appointed to arrange for the gathering of the necessary data and cuts to be used in the publication. Messrs. George Jeff er-son, er-son, McLease aud Draper were so appointed. Professor Draper will do ohe bulk of the work of arranging the data for publication. A committee, consisting of Messrs. Jorgensen, Jeff-son Jeff-son and H. T. Hanks, was appointed to accompany Mr. Jensen around town and vicinity, and line up the business men and others for subscriptions subscrip-tions to this publication, which costs twenty. five cents per copy. This is a matter that should - interest every man and woman in Milford"aTid Id .the county. Mr. Jensen will probably go to Beaver, also, but as Milford is taking tak-ing the initiative and bearing the chief expense, it is probable that the "write up" will deal more largely with this town audits environs. o |
