Show NEW FISH POND DAM FINISHED Dedication ceremonies were held Saturday, Oct. 11, at the site of the newly completed Anderson Dam located three miles above Kent's Lake. The dam was constructed by the Utah State Department of Fish and Came and provides an excellent 10-acre lake for fishing. The program was presented by the Beaver Wildlife Federation, Feder-ation, under direction of Evan Neilsen, president, who introduced intro-duced several distinguished guests. Sam Hickman related the history of the dam project, and Jay Udy, federal aid coordinator, coordi-nator, and Thel Riley, game warden, told of the actual construction con-struction work. The dedicatory dedica-tory address was by Bud Phelps, assistant director of the State Fish and Came Department. De-partment. Also appearing on the program pro-gram were Buck Cushelly, Fish Lake Forest supervisor; Frank Smith and G. W. Carter, Car-ter, Beaver County commissioners, commis-sioners, and Mrs. Sam Hickman Hick-man and Mrs. Burnett Swin-dlehurst, Swin-dlehurst, who officiated at the closing of the valve to signify the official completion of the dam. |
