Others )rp?ent were Lucille Strong, Donna Cartwright, Jannelle F"arrer, Estelle Bak-er, Bak-er, Anna Lu Goodwin, Bar-bara Bar-bara Bradsha'A', Betty Smith and Colleen Boyter. MR. AND MRS. LEROY LESSING announce the engagement en-gagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jolene, to Mr. David William Ileslington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Ileslington. The wedding is to take place Oct. 24th. IT WAS an evening nf Halloween Hal-loween revelrv for members of Beaver's IN T Club Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Oct. 8, in the First-Third First-Third Ward Church. Everyone Every-one was decked out in masquerade mas-querade costumes and the hall was appropriately decorated with autumn leaves, corn stalks, pumpkins, silhouettes and a harvest moon. Prizes for best costumes were awarded to Helen and Merrill Lee, first; Johnnie and Bill Low, Chase and Lucille Lu-cille Murdock, and Gac Seaman. Sea-man. Dancing was enjoyed to the music of Howard Low and orchestra, and refreshments of doughnuts and punch, candy, can-dy, popcorn and apples were served. The committee in charge of the gala event included Mr. and Mrs. Karl Farnsworth, chairmen ; Mr. and Mrs. Grant Esplin, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Yardlcy, Mr. and Mrs. John Mcsser and Mr. and Mrs. Foch Parkinson. AIRS. MARY T. 1 IAXEY entertained her bridge club Friday evening. Winning the prizes were Roma Hollings-head, Hollings-head, Annabel! Hales, Ruby McMullin and Hortense Park. Other members enjoying the evening were Elsie Hales, Mildred Yickers, Lydia Patterson, Pat-terson, Mae Atkin. LaXore Swindlehurst. Ella Easton and Yona Cox, and a guest, Mrs. Susie Becson. MRS. MARY ANN WILLIAMS WIL-LIAMS was hostess for her club at her home in Greenville Monday, Oct. 6. An evening of pinochle was enjoyed with Gerry Smith, Carol Wright and Patsy Holling.shead winning win-ning the prizes. Mrs. Williams served a delicious de-licious plate luncheon. A special spe-cial guest was Mrs. LaRae Mowers, and other members attending were LoAnn Smith, Virginia Ashworth, Maxine Barton, Carol Blackner, Stan-nie Stan-nie Myers and Helen Cart-wright. |
