Show Centerfield Man Joins Benedicts Chauncey Funk, the well known young Centerfield merchant, and Miss Althea Sorenson, who were married at the Manti temple Wednesday of last week, were given a wedding reception at the home of the bride's.relatives, Mr and Mrs. Andrew Bogh, the evening of the marriage. Some thirty immediate relatives and friends were present and enjoyed an elaborate dinner. The newlyweds were presented with many beautiful and useful gifts at the reception. re-ception. The following day Mr. and Mrs. Funk went to Richfield where relatives again entertained in compliment compli-ment to the bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. Funk are well and favorably known in this section and they have hosts of friends who will join in wishing wish-ing them all happiness. They will make Centerfield their future home, where Mr. Funk is engaged in the mercantile business. t A miscellaneous shower was given by the stake board member's last week in honor of the two brides, Mrs. Frank Salmon and Mrs. Chauncey Funk. The affair was a social function and was greatly enjoyed by those present. The honor guests were the recipients, of a number of useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Woolsey of Salt Lake, came in from the north Sunday, and Monday, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Soren Anderson, and Alonzo Anderson, continued their journey to Fish Lake for a brief vacation. va-cation. Miss Ruby Willardson of Ephraim, and Miss Elma Anderson of Sterling, are spending the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Embley. Messrs, and Mesdames Chris Sorenson, Sor-enson, Joseph Bardsley, Chas. H. Embley, Em-bley, Miss Ramona Gordon and Mont Sorenson, were the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Bardsley, at an elaborate birthday dinner party, given in honor of Mr. Bardsley, it being be-ing his eightieth birthday. A. C. Fjeldsted left Tuesday of this week for Provo to be present at the State Camp Fire festivities. He accompanied ac-companied the Gunnison contingent. J. H. Christensen of Salt Lake, is spending a few days here and is taking a well earned vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Salmon and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Patterson, who made a tour of the scenic wonderlands of Southern Utah, returned to Centerfield Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Salmon, Sal-mon, who were married two weeks ago, left for Salt Lake, where they will reside permanently. |
