Show Cedar lady to participate in 1 971 concert tour of school band, chorus at Southern Utah State Col lege and plays the flute in the JU3C concert band under thi direction of Harold Boyce. The School Band and Choru; of America selected its spc cial membership from school? throughout the nation by au I dition and letters of recom mendation. The 1971 tour wil' begin its 14 day stint at Logar on August 7 where they will 'i? involved in three days o' intensive rehearsals, schedul ed in the Utah State Univer--ity's Fine Arts Building. The first performance wil! be in the Zion and Grand Can vons on August 10. Oth2f im- I nortant conaerls will present ff""11 m the young musicians in La Vegas; San Francisco, Lo-ngeles, Lo-ngeles, and the grand finale concert will be in the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City Additional prese ntation1-arte ntation1-arte scheduled in Disneyland Forest Lawn, Hollywood and the Primary Children's Hospital Hospi-tal in Salt Lake City. The School Band and Chorus of America, is now in its 11th season of tours. It is an official offi-cial project of the People to People Music Committee, Inc. Miss Stucki was a member of the 1970 SBASCA European Europ-ean Concert Tour and is an active memlber of the SBA SCA Alumni Association. MISS GAYE STUCKI Gaye Stucki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Stucki of Cedar City will participate in the 1971 American Concert Tour of the School Band and Chorus of America. She will be one of 175 young American musicians selected from High Schools and Universities Univer-sities from all over America named to join the group this year. Miss Stucki is a sophomore |
