Show Nine Iron County students receive degrees at U S U Nine Iron County students attending Utah State University Univer-sity at Logan received degrees de-grees at the 78th annual commencement held June 5 in the Spectrum, USU'S new 10,000 seat assembly center. Eight of those receiving bachelor's degrees in the exer. cises were from Cedar City. They included: Jack J. Smith and Kristine Cowan, History; David Stevens Cooper, econ-, econ-, . omics; Richard Merrill Howell, How-ell, manufacturing engineering; engineer-ing; David Wayne Meyers, Civil Engineering; Ann Marie Osborne, Horn? Economics Education; Martin C. Ott, Forest Recreation, and Cheryl White, child development. Jerald R. Davenport of Par-agonah Par-agonah received a bachelor's degree in marketing in the exercises. Dr. J. G. Harrar, president of the Rockefeller Foundation, was the commencement speaker. Baccalauret sermon ser-mon was delivered by Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, president presi-dent of Notre Dame University. |
