Show Community Development interns chosen at Southern Utah State Four interns in Community Development have been chosen chos-en for summer work June 14 through August 27 in the Office Of-fice of Community Development Develop-ment at Southern Utah State College. J. Lynn Uibel, Coordinator of Community Development, announced that Fred Esplin, Jolene Lawry, Dale Lambert, and Scott Coverston have been awarded internships. Each will work in areas of community development pertinent pert-inent to his major area of study as well as in group pro-jects. pro-jects. Esplin received his BA degree de-gree from SUSC this spring and will work with environmental environ-mental affairs in the area in addition to historical aspects. Mr. Esplin is from Cedar City. Dale Lamibert is a first year law student at the University of Utah. He will work with various development groups in the area and with local attorneys at-torneys on matters of legal concern in community affairs. His hometown is Salt Lake City. Miss Jolene Lawry who is a senior student at SUSC majoring ma-joring in Social Psychology will begin programs in Community Com-munity Services in the social welfare area. Miss Lawry is from Cedar City. Scott Coverston of Salt Lake City who received his BA from the University of Utah this spring in Urban Studies and Sociology will assist in planning plan-ning studies of Iron, Beaver, and Garfield Counties. This is the third year of the internship program at SUSC and has expanded from one to four interns working in community com-munity development. |
