Mr, Cherrington honored on 81st birthday A. W. Cherrington, lifelong resident of Springville, celebrated celebrat-ed his 81st birthday at his home Sunday with a buffet dinner din-ner preparer' by his wife and which a large family gathering enjoyed. At the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Murdock and family, Sandy; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Murdock and family, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Kent Murdock, Mur-dock, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Doli-nar Doli-nar and family, American Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cherrington Cher-rington and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cherrington, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cherrington and family, Murray; Mur-ray; Mrs. Jewel Murdock and family of American Fork; Ella Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. David Cherrington and family, Bloom-ington, Bloom-ington, Indiana; Coleen Cherrington Cher-rington and cousin Joyce Clark and boy friend, Ed Lother, students stu-dents at the BYU; Steven Cherrington and Laurel Warner, War-ner, Spanish Fork. A son, Jack, of Preston, Idaho; Ida-ho; a daughter, Jane, and sons of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter daugh-ter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cla 'k of Snowflake, Arizona, Ari-zona, all telephoned during the day to extend birthday greetings. A. W. Cherrington Mr. Cherrington was born March 9, 1888, in Springville, the son of Joseph and Prudence Straw Cherrington. He attended attend-ed schools here and also at the Brigham Young University. He married Hilda Wheeler on June 9, 1909, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Following their marriage, Mr. Cherrington spent ten vears in the construction business. bus-iness. He left this business and purchased a farm in Mapleton where they lived for Uvo years. After selling the Mapleton farm he purchased a large cherry farm on the East Bench of Springville and lived there until un-til 1953 when Mr. Cherrington retired and they moved to their present home.
