Show Paula Osborn one of five finalist winners Paula Osborn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Osborn, is among thi top five Utah winners win-ners in the 1969 Betty Crocker Search for the American Home-maker Home-maker of Tomorrow, contest it was announced this week. Miss Osborn is among the five who ranked highest among the 7,396 girls in 84 high schools in the state who took the test in December. Two of these five will be awarded college scholarships the highest ranking girl $1500 and the runner-up, $500. The other three will receive honorable honor-able mention. In April the frist place winner win-ner from our state will join the winners from the other 49 states and the District of Columbia on an expense-paid tour of Washington, D.C. and Colonial Williamsburg, Va, In Williamsburg the four national winners will be selected on the basis of their original test scores, plus personal observation observa-tion and interviews while on the tour. Their scholarships will he raised to $5,000, $4,000 $3,000 and 2,000 respectively. The original test, for which 630,564 senior girls in 15,116 high schools enrolled (a new record) was constructed and graded by Science Research Associates As-sociates of Chicago. : |
