Show Son achieves in amateur boxing Wcicl has been received here by relatives of the success of former residents, Koyle and Glenna Palfreyman Hal field's 19 year old son, Freddie Hatfield, Hat-field, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in the boxing world. Freddie won the amateur light middleweight title in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer Golden Gold-en Gloves tournament tc give him the Pacific Noithwest triple crown. He previously had won championships in Tacoma and Portland. His parents were in Seattle to watch him win. He was the first fighter from the state of Idaho to win the triple crown of Noithwest amateur boxing by winning the Seattle Ncrthwest Golden Gloves Championships Cham-pionships along with his wins in Tacoma and Portland. Kriddie's next tournament will be the Spokane Golden Gloves in April and the National Nation-al AAU Tournament in San Diego also in April. His wins for 1968-69 are 18 wins in 19 fights with 16 knockouts, one in 18 seconds of tne first round. |
