Show $5000 goal Chamber of Commerce membership drive on The annual membership drive of the Chamber of Commerce is picking up momentum mo-mentum with over half of the $5000 goal having been collected to date, according to Larry Burningham, vice president and membership drive chairman. J. Melvin Duke is president. Responding to letters sent out last month, many merchants mer-chants and business people have sent their membership dues in by mail. The Springville Chamber of Commerc eis a non-profit organization and is beginning begin-ning its twenty-ninth year as a promoter of better business bus-iness practices, service to the public, sponsor of clinics and workshops, supporter of community improvements and local tourist attractions. Directors of the Chamber ' will be calling on business people who have not yet paid inviting them to join the Chamber. Other townspeople who wish to support the Chamber in its objectives of community commun-ity and business improvement improve-ment are invited to become associate members.
