They were over there a week and the highlight of the tour was going through the LDS temple. The two ladies decided to do something different so they left the group and took in a night club for the first time. The entertainer at the club was the famous Don Ho. Carrie really enjoyed his singing and the funny jokes he told. She came home with the glass her was served in. She visited the Polynesian Village and the Paradise Gardens which were fantastic, she said. They took a boat trip around Pearl Harbor which gave her kind of a sad feeling because she had two sons who served during the war at Pearl Harbor. They went on the tour with a group of senior citizens and are ready to go back again. Sunday Carrie A. Christensen had her son Clyde and his son from Ogden at her home for dinner. During the afternoon her two brothers and their wives Mr. and Mrs. Joe Anderson from Woods Cross and Mr. and Mrs. Hi Anderson of Salt Lake stopped in for a visit. Dollie Iverson recently returned from a three-weetrip to Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. The purpose of her visit was for the wedding of her daughter, Larrie Marie, to Don Kelly of Pensacola, Fla. She spent a week with Larrie and her little daughter, Marla, in Alabama before going to Florida for the weekend of the wedding which was held at the Ramada Inn. Packer Ronald Ira Packer Ronald Ira Packer, 63, of 151 South Fifth East, Brigham City, died Saturday morning at his home of an illness. He was born March 22, 1911, at Corinne, a son of Ira W. and ; Lucile F. Silver, Oakland, and a Calif.; three John Silver and Moralee Silver, both of Salt Lake City; Watson Silver, New York City, N.Y., and Mrs. Leona Capener, Salt Lake City. A civic William Scales Cooper, 71, of Smithfield, died at his home Nov. 3. He was born Sept. 9, 1903 in Wellsville, a son of James and Annie Cooper. He married Lucy Simmons Dec. 1, 1938, at Brigham City. He is survived by his widow, and three daughters, Mrs. Val Dean (Ester Ann) Durrand, Franklin, Idaho; Mrs. Max S. We didnt get to see the rest of them because they stayed in Ogden with Sharons mother, Mrs. Bernice Anderson. Kelly had lost twelve pounds since he was home in August and he really looked good. She was married to John Hyrum Larkin on Feb. 6, 1918, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He died Feb. 8, 1960. She was a member of the LDS 26th ward. Erma Neiderhauser of Ogden spent Monday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Clair Anderson. She left her two children, Heidi and Eric to spend a few days with their grandparents. Buelah Talboe has spent two visits to the hospital with a heart condition but she reports now that she is feeling much better. Another lovely wedding reception was held in the ward Friday evening for Pam Johnsen and Robert Bylund. They left after the reception for a honeymoon in California. On their return they will pack up and leave for Pennylvania where he will be attending school. Pam is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Johnsen. The county DUP chorus song practice was held at the home of Carrie J. Christensen Monday. Guests at the home of Carrie J. Christensen were her Larkin Mrs. Emily Catherine Silver Chadwick, 72, of South Willard, died Friday in St. Benedicts hospital, Ogden, of natural causes. She was born Oct. 31, 1902, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Joseph A. and Elizabeth Fames Silver. She was married to Byron Chadwick on Sept. 7, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a graduate of the University of Utah and had worked as a teacher. She had lived in Willard since 1948 and resided in Ohio for the previous 20 years. She was a member of the LDS church and was a Relief Society visiting teacher. She had worked in the PTA and had given lessons in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Surviving are her husband of Willard and one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Nancy) Ketcham Larkin and Steven R. Larking both of Clearfield; Carlysle Hr; Larkin, Hazelton, Idaho; Daviif7 E.
