The pastor is presently following the various articles of the Apostles Creed. Morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m. The evening service (6:30 p.m.) drew additional people the past Sunday. Providing about thirty minutes of music as an advent meditation, this will be a very meaningful Revelation of Jesus Christ, third in a series on the Second Coming of Christ, is the title of the message for the Sunday morning worship service. A survey of the kings of Israel and Judah teaching principles of living for today is being taught in the evening service at 7 oclock. The AWANA group meets at 6 oclock for games and scripture memory. Friday afternoon after school the AWANA boys and the high school boys will be leaving for an overnight campout. The boys will be bringing sack lunches. At the same time the AWANA girls and the high school girls will have a slumber party at the Quale home at 655 Medoland. The girls will meet at 7 oclock and should bring sleeping bags. in Bible Ladies Study Hebrews has been changed from Tuesday morning to each week at 1 oclock. All ladies from any church are invited to come. For this week only the high school young people will have Shipmates at 7 oclock at the church with the regular youth meeting at 8:15 at the Student center. Kids Bible Club will be held after school on Thursday in the parsonage basement, with visualized lessons on the book of Exodus. Sunday night the message will be, Our Savior. This will be the last Sunday for Brother and Mrs. Keating as they will be leaving Monday, the 11th of November. Pastor Keating retired from the active pastorate 10 years ago but he has not really retired for he has served many churches as interim pastor since that time. Several times he has served churches in Utah. His services have been greatly appreciated. The annual convention of the Utah-IdahSouthern Baptist convention will convene in Salt Lake City at the First Southern Baptist Church of Salt Lake City. The sessions will be held beginning Tuesday afternoon, the 12th thru the 13th. Brother John Embery will be bringing the annual convention message at the first session on Tuesday. Messengers will be present from all of the churches from the two state area as well as from the First Baptist Church of Brigham City. The pastors will be in session prior to the meeting of the convention proper for a pastors conference. The Womans Missionary Union will also be meeting during the week. Mrs. Bruce Conrad president for the o Southern Baptist Womans organization will be presiding for this meeting. The sessions are open for anyone desiring to attend. The night sessions are on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 9 oclock. The Youth Morning Bible Rap continues to meet each Wednesday morning at 7:30. All young people are invited to be present. o Utah-Idah- Methodise United The Aldersgate Methodist Church continues to meet for worship every Sunday 5 at Corinne, morning Sixth and Colorado, in the oldest Protestant church building in Utah. This evening, Sunday beginning at 6 p.m., a special program will be held at the Masonic Lodge in Corinne, including members and friends of the Aldersgate congregation. supper, Following the there will be a slide presentation by Wayne and Della Owens pertaining to their recent visit to Denmark, 9:15-10:1- pot-luc- k Sweden, Russia, Czechoslovakia, East Ger- many, and Switzerland. Each family will also provide depicting the actual historical events that took place in the settlement of Three Mile Creek, now know as Perry, will be presented tomorrow (Friday) evening, Nov. 8 in the Brigham City Tabernacle beginning at 8 p.m. Music will be provided by a choir and local talent will enact the historical events that brought about the settling of the community. A special invitation is extended to the public, anyone interested in the settling of this area and especially decendants of the early settlers. Tickets can be purchased at the door. They are priced at $1.50 for adults, 75 cents for students 12 to 18 and 50 cents for children from four to 11. Younger children will be admitted free. In company with the musical, a booklet entitled The Story of Three Mile Creek has been compiled. It contains 60 pages of history of the early settlement to todays events, along with more than 80 pictures of progress in Perry. These will be sold for $3 each. We hope everyone will plan on attending tomorrow evening, it is a special event in the history of Perry. A special thanks goes to all those who helped and especially those who attended and supported the activity. The students and parents enjoyed an evening full of fun and lots of delicious food. In the Perry ward fast meeting Sunday morning three little boys were given their name and blessing. David Gordon Nelson, son of Gordon and Pauli Nelson was blessed by his grandfather, Darrell J. Nelson. Benson Earl Smith, son of Ronald and Loretta Smith was given his name by his father. Ryan Paul Reeder, son of Lynn and Carol Reeder was blessed by his father. Ryan was born Oct. 29 in the Cooley hospital in Brigham. Arriving on his mothers birthday at 12:20 a.m. he weighed nine pounds. Welcoming him home to even the family with four boys and four girls were older brothers and sisters, Dianne, Barry, Cheri, Dale, Peggy, Kendell and Sandra. The Perry ward Relief society will hold their night meeting on Wednesday evening, Nov. 13 at the home of Mrs. Deloris Dorius. Mrs. Dorius will give the lesson on the country of Peru. It is an outstanding lesson and all working women of the ward or those unable to attend last Tuesday are invited to attend.
