Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grover and family were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Chew by Flo Munson The small son of Mr. and Mrs. DeVerl Anger was blessed by his father in Sacrament meeting Sunday and given the name of Cody Anger. Imthe following mediately meeting a family dinner party was held at the home of the babys grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anger. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. DeVerl Anger and family of Fielding, Mr. and Mrs. Darold Simmons and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anger of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Anger and family of Bountiful, Mrs. Linda Westley and daughters Michelle and Marla of Brigham City. Patriarch and Mrs. Leo Earl of Logan also attended Sacrament meeting in Fielding Sunday where their great grandson Cody Anger was blessed by his father DeVerl Anger. Patriarch and Mrs. Earl were dinner guests of the babys grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Earl and family. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Rosel Zundel Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Valdez and family of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Nish Zundel and family and Kim Wall of Bountiful and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Chournos of Logan. Family Party A family dinner party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Alked and family Sunday. Mary and Debbie Church o Mental health program is set Films dealing with mental health will highlight the weekly program at the Brigham City senior citizens center Friday afternoon. She also visited Mr. and Mrs. Paul Forsberg and family. Kim Moss, a student at USU in Logan spent the weekend visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss. Saturday evening Kim and his friend Jeanette Morris of Tremonton attended the Charles Pride concert at the Salt Palace. Accompanying them were Denise Brough of Tremonton and Brent Rose of Snowville. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pulver and family Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Yeates and son Colby of Logan. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Garn were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Garn and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarke Garn and family of American Fork, Curtis McCulloch of Sunset and Randy Brown of Garland. A Halloween party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Hess and family Thursday evening. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hess and two children of Livermore, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Perry and two children of Deweyville, Mr. and Mrs. David Hess and son Shaun of Tremonton and Tim Hess of Logan. A lovely dinner was enjoyed followed by games. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hess and two children left Saturday for their home in Livermore after visiting at the Quinton Hess home and with Mrs. Pheobe Henrie in Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Forsberg accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hunsaker of Tremonton spent the weekend in Salt Lake City. Saturday evening they attended the Charles Pride special event on Nov. 15. There will also be a variety of shoppes where items may be purchased, such as Sweet Shoppe, Bake Shoppe, Pop corn Hut, Kitchen Korner, Novelty Shelf and the Cellar. There will be a fish pond and a pony corral for small children and a side show for your entertainment. Honeyville Hotline Cubs tour BC department by Sharon Mecham The Cub Scouts in Den Two, Aokie, Lenny Worthington and Billy Hunsaker. Also Caelyn, accompanied by their Den Mothers, Annette Lillywhite Cory, and Chad Mecham and Justin and David Lillywhite went along. Afterwards the boys bought ice cream cones before returning home. The young girls in the Aaronic Priesthood program held a pheasant hunters brunch on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They served lots of good food and want to thank everyone who helped support the girls on this project as it was a real success. The PTA held their annual school Halloween carnival on Thursday night. It was a huge success. All the spooks seemed to have a real ball. The spook alley was especially good this and Sharon Mecham, drove to the Brigham City Fire Station on Wednesday for a tour of the station and the boys were real excited over seeing all the fire equipment and learning how its used. The boys were especially excited over hearing the siren blow. LaMar Davis lead the tour for the boys and demonstrated the use of the air splint for broken bones. The boys attending were Brad Canfield, who is the boys Den Chief, and the following cub scouts: Jay Lillywhite, Andy James, Bard Mecham, Tony Smith, Richie concert at the Salt Palace. Leaving Wednesday for their home in Bismark, N.D., after spending the past week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton was their daughter Mrs. Newel (Mary) Moss and children Nicole and Brandon. Enjoying a dinner party at the Utah Noodle Cafe in Ogden Friday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Karl King. The occasion was Lanny Smiths birthday anniversary. Paula Forsberg spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Byran Marble in Beaver Dam while her parents were in Salt Lake City. Dixie and Kristy King spent the weekend visiting their grandfather Francis Mitchell in Salt Lake City. Enjoying a dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Hess in Malad Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wood and son Doug, who spent the weekend at the Wood home from the University Medical center in Salt Lake City where he is receiving medical care, their daughters Dixie, Terry and Cindy, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wood and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Wood. A family dinner party was held at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Ross Rudd and family Saturday evening. Guests were Darwin Hansen and three children of Mountain Home, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stokes of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hansen and family of Lewiston, Mrs. Daisy Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stokes and daughter Julie and son Tom of Tremonton, Ronda Rudd and friends of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Mason visited Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Call in American Falls Sunday. Both couples enjoyed dinner at the Rogers cafe. Hyrum Godfrey returned home Monday afternoon after spending the past two weeks in the Logan LDS hospital where he underwent major surgery. He was accompanied home by Mr. and Mrs. Theron Godfrey of Logan. year and the food was delicious. Everyone helped support this activity and the officers and teachers were real pleased with the outcome. e. Hay Ride On Tuesday night the Aaronic Priesthood and young women held their Halloween Party. They went on a hay ride through the cemetery where they were visited by spooks. Then rode up by the mountain where they saw the Headless Horseman. Then stopped at the home of Dave Forsgrens and went through a spook alley in the basement of their barn. The girls remarked on how good the spoolf alley was while shaking in their shoes. The evening was topped off with chili, root beer, and donuts back at the church. Jolene Hunsaker was the specialist for the activity night and did a real good job planning the night of fun. Chapter meets Monday The Golden Spike Chapter of Young Homemakers will meet next Monday, Nov. 11 at 3 in the Bear River Elementary school. Jessie Eller from Utah State University Extension Service will be the guest speaker on the topic, nutrition. A baby sitter is provided at 25 cents per child. Saturday, Nov. 2, Bishop B.A. Bingham celebrated his 86th birthday. The day was climaxed with a family social. There was 125 close relatives present to wish him well and make his birthday a happy one. Bishop Bingham is the father of ten Homemaker group meets children, nine boys and one girl. At the present time he has 73 grandchildren and 59 greatgrandchildren. He was bishop of the Honeyville Ward for 19 years and was bishop when the chapel was originally built. The Bear River chapter of Utah Young Homemakers will meet at the Bear River High school Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Faye McMurdie will give a demonstration on making pies. Each member is asked to bring a pie tin and prepare a pie McMurdies under Mrs. supervision. Mrs. Joan Hansen, president of the Bear River chapter will conduct the meeting. Baby Named The small son of Ralph and Hilda Glasglow was given the name Brent Edward Michael Glasglow on Sunday at fast meeting. Also Bard Mecham was baptised on Saturday and confirmed on Sunday. The Relief society along with the bishopric is planning a chips also served.
