Show Woods Gross Gat Chat i As we get into November, we find that the volleyball inter-region playoffs are on the 4th and on the 5th it is our first swim meet and that is Highland at WX at 3:30. The 5th also marks the end of 1 st term. (Can you believe it?) Time goes fast when you're having fun! I am now pleased to announce the glad tidings that there is no school on Friday (the 6th) Yipee-Skipee! The student to be spotlighted this week is Joey Boehme. His claim to fame is that he is the drum major of our awesome marching band. He does a wonderful job and he feels that the band is one of the stronger parts of our school. He also feels that band is a good experience, ex-perience, one that teaches discipline, disci-pline, responsibility and is also fun. - Joey likes to listen to music and j read. His dream is to become a;' pilot in the Air Force. We are cer-: tainly grateful to have Joey as a: member of our school. He thinks WX is great and it turns out.. .he's right. : Well, after a fun-filled week of: bobbing for apples, pumpkin carv-; ing at lunch, searching for the great pumpkin, a hayride and an assem-? bly, have a Happy Halloween! And : watch out for those cavity creeps! ; 1 - 'Yf Y 'y ' -L: -. 'hri f ml ' v j hi By JOANNA MOODY If you are looking for a quiet place to be alone, come to the halls of Woods Cross High School while classes are going on. The administration adminis-tration of WX has just made and enforced a new tardy policy, and believe me, not even a mouse is stirring. Not many students dare to even set foot in the halls during class time and I would venture to say that those who socialize in between classes, will run to be on time. It's quite a fantastic sight! Mr. Hawkins Haw-kins is doing a super job in making our school the very best place to gain an education. Today at 5 p.m., our Wildcat women on the volleyball team will show Highland (in our own gym) that we are just an itsy bitsy teenie weenie little bit superior to them. (Isn't that special?) Also today our drama department depart-ment competes at USU at the annual poetry festival, where it is our tradition to take most of the awards. On Friday, the 30th, it is the outrageous out-rageous Pep Club stomp from 8-1 1 where you can boogey to your heart's desire. If vnn mm arlv Seventh grade officers this year at Centerville Junior High include, from left, Ken Richards, vice-president; Jeremy Barker, president; and Keiko Morishita, secretary. enough, you just might be able to catch Mr. Grover trying to do his favorite thing.. .disco! Anyway, before this event takes place, I am told that the drama department is sponsoring a little fiesta where they will be showing a scary movie and doing other fun things. So, drop by the Little Theatre before the stomp! The 3 1st is the night when Hilde-gard Hilde-gard the Witch flies over the moon at midnight. |
