| Show HEAVY SHIPMENTS OF ORE Frank Footes Sampling Works Running to Their Full Capacity Ca-pacity on Utah Ores I To give the public some idea of the I quantity of ore coming into the city a DEMOCRAT reporter made a visit to the new sampling works of Frank Foote located l near the Utah Central depot this morning During the past week no less than twelve carloads of ore from various sections of the Territory have been sampled sam-pled at Mr Footes mill A sample of 105 tons of ore from the Nast mine Bingham was finished yesterday yes-terday A lot of Ashton ore from the same camp aggregating 24 tons is on the platform and will be sampled today Three carloaTis of ore from the Mabel mine at Stockton have been sampled this week A shipment of 40000 pounds of ore from Luke Shore district was sampled yesterday One car of Milford ore was also sampled yesterday and another will be delivered to tne mill today to-day The Denver Rio Grande delivered deliv-ered two cars of ore from the Nast lease cree yesterday and one car of Saturn from Bingham today This is a fine showing considering that the sampling mill owned by Mr Foote has been in operation less than three weeks j and also speaks well for Utah mines The rise in lead has infused new life into our mining industries and all the old properties that have ever produced any quantities of ore have been set in operation Prospectors are making many new developments in mines hitherto hith-erto comparatively unknown |
