Show Barber passes away i i JEX HENRY BARBER Jex Henry Barber, age 65, died Aug. 27, 1986 in a Bountiful hospital. hos-pital. He was born Jan. 27, 1921, Cen-terville, Cen-terville, Utah, son of Horace H. and Hazel Ruth Smith Barber. He married Dorethy Jones Feb. 17, 1940 in Farmington, Utah, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LOS Temple. They were later divorced. Married Gloria W. Carter April 19, 1971, Pleasant Grove, Utah, later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He was a veteran of World War II. Served in the Bishopric and active ac-tive in Scouting serving as a Scoutmaster Scout-master for many years. He sang in many ward choirs. He was a charter char-ter member and past president of the Centerville Jaycees. An active High Priest in the Centerville 15th Ward. Survived by wife of Centerville, sons Dallen J. Barber, Bountiful; Layne H. Barber, Syracuse; Bradley Brad-ley V. Barber Brigham City; daughters Mrs. Robert (Kathryn) Decker, Salem, Ore.; Mrs. Kevin (Elyse) Tipton, Denver, Co.; step sons and step daughters: Marshal Carter, Highland; Glen Carter, Santa Barber, Calif.; Mrs. Don (Carolyn) Mcllvaine, Nevada; Laura Lee Carter, Pleasant Grove; 12 grandsons, 5 granddaughters 6 step grandsons, 7 step granddaughters, granddaugh-ters, two brothers Allen H. Barber, Bountiful; Clinton S. Barber, Centerville; Cen-terville; three sisters Mrs. Lawrence Lawr-ence (Ida) Page; Mrs. Bryan (Ruby) Flanders, both Centerville; Mrs. Dale (Maxine) Randall, Rupert, Ida.; mother-in-law Margie Mar-gie A. Wadley, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, 1986 at 1 1 a.m. in the Rolling Hills LDS Chapel, 1825 North 210 East, Centerville. Centervil-le. .Friends called Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary Chapel 295 North Main. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Russon Brothers Mortuary. |
