Show Row-Run race set Saturday, Sept. 6 Jordan River State Park will direct the third Row and Run Race in cooperation with Salt Lake City Recreation Department, Depart-ment, Sidsports Incorporated and the Utah State Fair. The eight-mile race - four miles of rowing and four miles of running will begin at 1700 S. 1200 W., across from Raging Waters and ends at the Jordan River State Fair Park at the State Fairgrounds and the Jordan River. Interested participants can pre-register pre-register at Jordan River State Park located at 1084 N. Redwood Road or Salt Lake City Recreation Department De-partment located at 1965 W. 500 S. before Friday, the 5th, orthe morn ing of the race from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. The race will begin at 9 a.m. sharp. The cost is $7 per team and includes in-cludes a T-shirt to entrants which participate in two of the three races. Canoes will be available free to the first eight teams that prereg-ister. prereg-ister. Refreshments will be served after af-ter the race. Medals will be awarded to the first three place winners of each division. Trophies and Grand Prizes will be awarded to the first three place overall winners win-ners for the series.
