Show Drag & alcohol classes set Anyone who wants to know more about drug and alcohol abuse and what to do about this growing problem can find answers at the 35th session of the University of Utah School on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies, Sunday, Sun-day, June 22 through Friday, June 27. THERE ARE still openings at the school which will feature nationally national-ly known authorities on various aspects of substance abuse and dependency. de-pendency. Three hours of under-' graduate or graduate college credit is offered for completion of the course. In addition, nurses, emergency medical technicians, peace officers, offic-ers, psychologists, social workers, educators and pharmacists can receive re-ceive professional training credit for their attendance at the school. THE SCHOOL has 17 different sections, some of which are designed de-signed for the general public. Other sections are offered for professionals profession-als who may work with those dependent de-pendent on alcohol or other drugs. General sessions of the school will address the role of religion in preventing and dealing with alcoholism alco-holism and other drugs; family problems and intervention in substance sub-stance abuse; AIDS and substance abuse; and cocaine abuse and designer de-signer drugs. r |
