Show Jason H. Lewis LAYTON Jason Henry Lewis, 12, of 1500 N. Angel St., passed away Thursday, March 31, 1988 at St. Benedict's Hospital in Ogden of injuries received from an accidental gunshot wound. He was born July 8, 1975 in Ogden, a son of Henry and Candy Sue Steed Lewis. He had lived in Green River, Wyo., for two years and in Layton until his death. He attended Lincoln Elementary Elemen-tary School and was a seventh grade student at North Lavton Junior High School. He was a member of the LDS Church and was active in scouting. He was active in Little League baseball and football. He was also active in swimming, skiing, basketball basket-ball and hunting. Surviving are his mother of Layton, his father of Green River, Wyo.; two sisters, Jennifer Smith, Layton; Jessica M. Lewis, Green River, Wyo.; his grandparents, Stanley and Carol Steed, Clearfield; Clear-field; Robert and Icy Lewis, Green River, Wyo.; great-grandparents, Ronald and Thelma Steed, Clearfield; Clear-field; two great-grandmothers, Ruby Simmons, Ogden; Iris Lyew Ng, Panama, Republic of Panama. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Bishop LaVar Abrams officiated at funeral services April 4. Family prayer was offered by Gary D. Steed; prelude, tape of Jason's favorite songs; "Just A S f If JASON HENRY LEWIS Closer Walk With Thee" by Debbie De-bbie Nelson; invocation, Craig Layton; remarks, Bishop LaVar Abrams; remarks, Reno LeRoy Masterson; speakers, Henry Lewis, Mike Nelson and Marzell Fairman Jr.; medley of songs by Debbie Nelson; benediction, Orion Page. Dedication of the grave was by Willard Parker with interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary D. Steed, Gary L. Dobyns, Opie Openshaw, Mike Romango, Lee Saenger and Terry McCafferty. Honorary pallbearer pall-bearer was Arthur Olivas. |
