Show U of U to Erect Old Salt Lake Theater Replica A replica of an old Salt Lake. City pioneer landmark, long! since torn down, will be erected on the campus of the University Univers-ity of Utah. Plans are being completed for building a model of the old Salt Lake Theater, which stood on the corner of First South and State Sts., according to A. H. Reiser,, member of the board of regents. $50,000 LDS Donation Because the theater will be a monument to the cultural initiative ini-tiative of Utah's colonizers, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has tentatively offered a donation of $50,000 to aid in the construction of the edifice. Since plans have not been completed, it is impossible to estimate cost at this time. It is likely, however, that student and alumni funds will be needed to finance the job. Although the building will represent the early-day structure struc-ture externally, its interior will embody the most modern ideas of sage design.
