Show Holladay Residents Active As Holidays Be" in; Teams Win The Holladay. Merchants stole the top standing in the County Recreational League from the Petty' Motor - Company Tuesday night. These two teams were tied for first place iri the 'league, but Tuesday night's win for Holladay left them with first place and Petty Motor with second- The Holladay M Men kept their top standing in the Big Cottonwood Stake League Monday Mon-day night when they won from the Valey View quintet in an overtime game. O La Var and Marlene Krantz won a fur coat for their mother for Christmas Monday night on the Flight to Fame program sponsored by a loal fur company. They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Krantz, 4583 Highland Drive. They played a violin duet, "March Trioniphale," and were accompanied by their mother. The Krantz children gave a fine display o their talent tal-ent and the hard work they have put into their music. They will have a chance to contest again In four weeks for a chance to win a trip to Hollywood. .'. Don Osen, a former resident of Holladay, is leaving his practice prac-tice in Salt Lake to accept a position po-sition as an assistant dental surgeon sur-geon with the U. S. Government in San rancisco. His wife, Dorothy, Dor-othy, and small son have already left for San Francisco, and Doa will join them soon. Guy Davis of Mount Olympus Ward has just returned from the Northwestern States Mission field where he fulfilled an 18- months' mission for the LDS Church. Pete Olsen is expected home from Los Angeles to spend the Christmas holidays with his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Olsen. He will be accompanied accom-panied by his niece. Jean Livingston, Liv-ingston, who will attend the BYU- Jean is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Livingston who are former residents of Holladay.
