Show Third Presbyterian Gmrch C. K. NAFFZ1GEU, Pastor Morning worship service will be held every Sunday morning at 11 with Sunday School preceeding. Many who are away from home are 'seeking on Sundays a nearby place of worship. All such are indeed in-deed welcome in every House of God. Which remindes us that our sermon theme for. next Sunday morning is "The Wayside Brook." Weary wayfarers whether from near or far are invited to refresh themselves with the good things of God's bountiful giving. Last Sunday's worshippers left the sanctuary pondering the thought suggested by one of the world's great leaders that modern Christians too often fail to achieve ac-hieve in spiritual things because our lives are primarily secualax or material. We find ouselves at home in logical, intellectual, social, political poli-tical and economic things, or think we do. But all the while the key that solves every problem is spiritual. Russia is a case in point. It is evident that Great Britain should while giving every encouragement and all help possible to the Soviets Sov-iets in their courageous resistance to the Nazi invaders, is careful to explain that she does not indorse in-dorse the Communist doctrine. The world must win not only the battle of tank and bomber and submarine but she must also find repentance and the love of God. These racial problems call attention at-tention to a tremendous fact that is developing in our country. The Commission on Interracial Cooperation Coop-eration reports that in 25 years the number of Negro collegiate institutions has increased by 250 per cent and the number of students stud-ents by 2,000 per cent. 109 negro colleges in the United States last year enrolled 45,876 men and women wo-men and graduated 5,064 with degrees. In medicine 69 degrees, 20 in dentistry, 14 in law, 47 in theology and 23 in social work, a |
