Show Farmington By KATHRYN JENNINGS 451-2027 John and Anita Moulton have returned from several weeks visiting in Las Vegas, Nev. The Moultons enjoyed the holidays in the sunny area, visiting with their son Larry and family. On Jan. 29, Boyd and Elena Probst and family members and Mr. and Mrs. Moulton spent the day in the Heber Valley. Val-ley. They attended the farewell and open house for a nephew. Elder Paul Shelton, before he left for a mission in England. Guests at the Moulton home on Sunday were Reginald and Easvary Rasiah and daughter Rosa and others from Sri Lanka. Also present were Cal and Dian Ferrin, who have a daughter teaching English in Sri Lanka and the Alden Rig-bys Rig-bys from Bountiful; Steve and Mary Lou Welch and children and Charles and Fran Moulton and family. After being served brunch, the group enjoyed visiting and renewing acquaintances from the far away country and meeting meet-ing those they had not known before. Reginald Rasiah was formerly for-merly the branch president, while the Rigbys and Moultons served in that country as church representatives for the LDS Church. Wilma Miller will be honored hon-ored for her 80th birthday on Feb. 29, a Leap Year Lady. There will be a luncheon at the home of Lorna Miller in Boun-tiful, Boun-tiful, assisted by Wilma's daughter, Glenda Rigby. Guests will include her sisters, sis-ters, Barbara Zabriskie, Zetel-la Zetel-la Taylor and Helen Cole and their daughters, all from the Provo area. Jim Moon, grandson of Maudeen Trask, is visiting her, also his parents and other relatives rela-tives in the area. Jim is stationed sta-tioned in Germany with the U.S. Air Force. Farmington 2nd Ward will have a banquet on Feb. 22 for Boy Scouts and parents. There will be a Court of Honor and other scout awards will be given. The banquet will be held in the Rock Chapel, 272 N. Main at 7 p.m. Scoutmaster is Bert Margetts assisted by Lonnie Fausett. The Steed Creek DUP Camp will be hosted by Kathryn McOmber on Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Liz Green is captain cap-tain of the Camp. The North Farmington DUP Camp will meet Feb. 15 at the home of Verla Jeppson, Betty Strong will be assisting. Ruby Jeppson will present the program. prog-ram. Sally Richards is captain. |
