No individual, corporation, partnership, company, or association associ-ation shall hold under lease for oil andor gas mining purposes pur-poses Indian tribal lands and restricted allotted Indian lands on any one Indian Reservation, in excess of 25,000 acres. Acreage Acre-age leased by an officer or director di-rector of a corporation, company, com-pany, or association, or by a stockholder holding 40 per cent or more of the stock of the corporation, cor-poration, company, or association associa-tion shall be charged against the corporation, company, or association as-sociation and vice versa. The acreage leased by a member of a partnership shall be charged against the partnership and vice versa. The acreage of corporations, corpora-tions, companies, or associations having common stockholders owning a majority of the stock of each corporation, company, or association, or having one or more common officers or directors direct-ors shall be charged against each other. Bids for a minimum of a single unit, or for two or three or all of the units of the area, as advertised, will be entertained, enter-tained, and the successful bidder on such units will be required to take leases on the lands subject sub-ject to the understanding that a separate lease contract will be issued on each unit as listed, list-ed, and all conditions of this advertisement shall apply to each separate lease contract so made. The sale will be held and the lease executed in accordance with the Act of March 3, 1909, (35 Stat. 781, 783), the Act of May 11, 1938 (52 Stat. 347), and 25 C.F.R., Part 189, as to allotted allot-ted lands. Lease Form 5-154h will be used for the allotted land lease contracts. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and the regulations, will render his deposit liable to forfeiture in the discretion of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Af-fairs. Leases filed after 20 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution will be subject to revaluation of bonus, if permission, per-mission, is not granted for an extension of time. Sales will be cancelled and deposits forfeited forfeit-ed at the expiration of the 20- day filing period unless for good and sufficient reason, an exten- ' sion of the filing period is granted. grant-ed. The right is reserved by the Commissioner of Indian Affairs to reject any o.r all bids and to disapprove any lease made on an accepted bid. Should any bid be rejected after a deposit is made, through no fault of the bidder, all monies deposited shall be returned. The lessee must furnish a satisfactory surety bond as required re-quired by the regulations. Bids received will be referred to the respective owners of each allotment for acceptance before further action is taken by this office. Only as such bids are approved ap-proved by such owners, can a lease be drawn. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope, "Bid on Oil and Gas Lease, Allotted Al-lotted Indian lands, not to be opened until 2:00 o'clock P. M., June 9, 1950." FORREST R.
