Recipients of scholarships to the various institutions of higher high-er learning are Arita Penfield, University of Utah; Howard Davenport, with Sharlyne Stone as alternate, to the Utah State Agricultural college; Ruth Wills, with JeNee Benson as alternate, to Bjrigham Yourig university; Wilma Jane Meyer, with Kay Durfee, alternate, to Carbon college; col-lege; and Liane Bertoch, Dixie college. "I Dare You books from the Danforth Foundation will be presented to . Lynn Mower and Alma Smith. Algie Luke will receive a three-month scholarship scholar-ship to the Chillicothe Business college, Chillicothe, Mo. Lawrence Wilson will" have the distinction of being the first boy to receive the Burgess Foundation Foun-dation scholarship, valued at $200, which he will use to attend at-tend B.Y.U. The scholarship is sponsored by members of the Burgess family, former residents of Roosevelt. i |
