Show Donald Burris At Boys' State Donald Burris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Burris, left Sunday to attend Boys' State at Camp V . G. Williams. Donald, a junior student at Union High School, is sponsored by Win. R. Sands Post No. 5, American Legion. I j I Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clark recently received a letter from their son, Ben Clark, A3c, who. has been stationed in Japa:; I during the past 10 months, advising ad-vising them that he is now at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippine Islands. Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis enjoyed a visit Saturday from Mrs. Dennis' brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Whit ing, who recently came to the United Staates from Trieste. Mr. Whiting is in U. S. Government service, serving in Trieste. H:s wife, whom he married in Italy, b enjoying her first visit to her . husband's native land. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cooper, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors at the home of het mother, Mrs. Frank Bowden. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Coopar joined Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ponton I at Moon Lake for a few days of fishing. Mr. and Mrs: Alvin Pecto. and children arrived last week from Eureka, California, to visit at the home of Mrs. Pectoi' mother, Mrs. Frank Bowder;. They were accompanied by Lorenzo Lor-enzo Blackburn, who visited ai the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Woodard. Visitor at the home of Mrs. I R Tuttle were her step-son, Dr. F. W. Tuttle, of ' Blue Springs, Missouri, and his daughter, Mrs. Snell Burk, and her two children, of Leadville, Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Carl McKeevcr and baby came from Mississippi last week for a brief visit with Mrs. McKeevor's mother, Mrs. Alice Brummett. They .left later for California, accompanied by Mrs. Brummett and son, Wesley, and Mrs. Lena Lisonbee, to visit other members of the Brummett family at Areata, California. Mrs. Emma Taylor and son, Sammie, and daughter, Mrs. Andy Stafer, who have bej.T visiting Mrs. Taylor's mothe-. Mrs. George Tanner, left Wednesday for Twin Fall?, Idaho. Ida-ho. Mrs. Taylor and son will visit there at, her daughter's home before returning to their home in Spokane, Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Gingell are rejoicing over the arrival of a son, born June 30 at the Roosevelt Hospital. The proud father brought his wife and baby ba-by home Sunday. Floyd Fenn, who has been employed on road construction near Cedar City, returned home Thursday and will be employed here. Miss Joan Gingell spent the July 4 weekend with- her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell. returning to Salt Lake City on Sunday! 1 ' v Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gingell during the July 4 weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gingell, of Grand Junction Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nei'.son and' four daughters arrived Monday Mon-day evening from Salt Lake City to visit at the home of Mr. Neihon's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Walkei and daughter, Jean, came from Salt Lake City, Friday, to spend the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Willis Dart, SA, spent his fur lough with his parents. Mr. an.1 Mrs. O. A. Dart, returning Sunday Sun-day to California, where he s stationed. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Tanner were their daughter and son-in-law, Bill Boren, A2c, and Mrr. Boren, who came from Denver, for a short visit. The young airman is stationed at Lowry Field. Mrs. Boren is the forme -Mildred Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence By-water By-water and infant son, Bobbie came from Salt Lake City. Leslie Potthoff, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Lowell Low-ell Bingham, in Salt Lake City, returned home Sunday. She was accompanied by her cousin, Peggy Wardle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wardle, who will visit at the home of her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Peterson. Pet-erson. Mrs. Arleigh Hall and Mrs. Coy Benson and baby arrived Monday from Inglewood, California Cali-fornia to be with their sister. Mrs. Giles Wood, in her sudden bereavement.
