Show SGS Association Plans Roosevelt Lleel On Week-End Friday and Saturday of- this week the Roosevelt office of the Soil Conservation Service, assisted as-sisted by the local SCS district, will be hosts to the Utah State Association of districts at a special meeting, barbecue and tour of the Basin. According to Thomas Evans, chief conservationist, and Alden White, chairman of the local district, dis-trict, approximately 50 outside SCS workers will join those from the Basin at 3 p. m. Friday Fri-day at the Commercial Bank of Utah conference rooms, where the first session of the conference confer-ence will be held. This will be followed by a barbecue at the Uintah Power and Light station in Uinta Canyon. These two functions are invitational affairs. af-fairs. At 8 a. m. Saturday morning, a broad invitation is extended the public to join in a tour of the area. Those desiring to make the guided tour are urged to meet by 7:30 a. m. on the bank corner. This phase of the program will be concluded at the Ballard LDS Ward Chapel at 12:30 p. m , with a dinne" that is being prepared and will b9 served by the Ballard Ward Relief Society. There will be a charge for the dinner. |
