Show Elko Ceremony Unites Couple A marriage of interest to their many friends was solemnized at Bko, Nevada, April 30. when Mrs Fannie Felter became the bride of John Paul Felter. The popular young couple returned tome May 1 and wijl make their tome in Myton. They entertained their host of friends at a dance at the Legion hall, Saturday evening, when tie hall was crowded with friends extending their good wishes and presenting lovely gifts. t Lieutenant Colonel Randall H. Felter, his wife and their two children left Monday for Afton, Wyo., after a 2-week visit with Colonel Felter's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Felter. Mrs. Felter and the children will reside in Afton with her parents until they can join Colonel Felter at his new station in Ankara, Turkey. Mrs. Homer Robinson return- ed last week from Salt Lake City, where she spent a week visiting her daughters and son Mr. Robinson left Saturday for a short visit in Salt Lake City Darlene Smith returned Saturday Sat-urday from Bingham, where she had enjoyed a week's visit at the home of her sister, Mrs. Chris Goris. Announcement has been received re-ceived of the arrival of a baby daughter, born Tuesday, May 1, to Mr. and Mrs. James Andrews, in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Andrews was formerly Miss Betty Wells and is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris. Mrs. Iva Adams spent the week-end in Salt Lake City, returning-' Sunday to resume her duties as a member of the faculty facul-ty of the elementary school. The annual May Festival drew crowds of parents and friends to the Myton school Thursday to enjoy the excellent musical selections, both vocal and instrumental, which were part of the program which centered' cen-tered' around the Myton school band concert and drill. To complete com-plete the entertainment, square dancing and refreshments were enjoyed. The school is justly proud of their band, vhich is showing excellent progress under un-der instruction of their director, Grant Peel, All grades participated partici-pated in the program. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith returned Sunday night from a visit in Seattle, where they went to accompany their son. Bert, who continued on to Alaska. Bert anticipates a lengthy stay in Alaska, where he has employment. employ-ment. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mer-anda Mer-anda came from American Fork to spend the week-end at their ranch home near town. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Snyder spent Sunday . in Provo with their daughter, Iona, who' is attending at-tending Brigham Young- university. univer-sity. The occasion celebrated Iona's birthday. They were joined join-ed by their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hall, and baby daughter, who came from Salt Lake City to participate partici-pate in the birthday celebration. M. C. Adams went to Salt Lake City Monday to visit his wife, who is a patient in the general hospital. Mrs. Adams is getting along nicely, but will be hospitalized for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Boren and their two grandchildren came from Wellington, Monday, to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Taylor. Mrs. Boren is Mrs. Taylor's sister. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Parrish and young son, of Rangely, Colo, visited Monday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Parrish. |
