There is only one more week of school left and the Seniors are madly tying loose ends in preparation for graduation next Thursday. All the teachers are giving final exams , and with spring fever present, no degree of normality can be expected until we're settled in Union High next year. Joyce Burr, reporter EIGHTH GRADE FIELD TRIP The students of the Roosevelt eighth grade and their chaper-ones, chaper-ones, Mrs. Harold Dillman, Mrs. Thurza Sprouse, Mrs. Lola Davis, Da-vis, Arus Bird and Robert Andrews, An-drews, spent a very enjoyable day recently visiting different places in Roosevelt and in the Vernal area. One of the places visited was the Newton Brothers Saddle Manufacturing company. Vernal. It is about the only company in the west that makes a complete saddle. It was very interesting to see how a saddle is made. We also visited the KJAM broadcasting broad-casting station and went on a tour of the Museum of Natural History. We then went out north of Vernal to Merkley's Park to have our lunch. While lunch was being prepared, some of the students played ball while others climbed the mountains. We ended our trip at the Hi-Land Hi-Land Dairy plant in Roosevelt. We wish to thank Mrs. Dili-man, Dili-man, Mrs. Sprouse and Mrs. Davis Da-vis for their time in going with us and far helping prepare the lunch. And we also want to thank Mr. Bird and Mr. Andrews An-drews for making the trip possible. pos-sible. Janice Neilsen, reporter |
