Show Mrs. Mable Jenkins Attend Stake M.I. A. Convention The M.I.A. 4-stake convention. Moon Lake, Duchesne. Roosevelt Roose-velt and Uintah, was held at the stake center in Vernal Saturday. Sat-urday. Attending from Lapoint I were Bishop and Mrs. Lee Walker, Walk-er, Merrell Rasmussen, Mr. and I Mrs. Orville Swain, Phoebe Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, Irva Huber, June Wooley, Arda Caldwell and Thelma Winn. Mrs. Lawrence Rich, accompanied accom-panied Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rich, of Jensen, to San Diego, Calif., to visit Lawrence, who is in the Navy. Mrs. Carl Hall, of Leeton, visited vis-ited her sister, Mrs. George Allred, on Saturday. Ernie Christensen, of Colorado, Colo-rado, visited his children last week-end. Mrs. Acel Haslem and baby, of Provo, are visiting Mrs. Has-lem's Has-lem's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Rasmussen. Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Hacking', of Deep Creek, attended Sunday school and fast meeting this week, while a guest of his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hacking. Hack-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Taylor, of Deep Creek, attended Fast meeting meet-ing Sunday and had their baby blessed. Lela Mitchell, of Independence Indepen-dence was an overnight guest Monday of Glee Wardle. The Primary officers and teachers who attended Primary officers meeting at the stake center in Vernal May 3 were Mary Ann Rasmussen. Velma Perry, Pearless Taylor, Vera Bigelow, Thea Bodily, Mable Jenkins, Mae Sprouse, Kather-ine Kather-ine Walker. - Mrs. Arbin Reich has returned from the Roosevelt hospital with her new baby boy. Helene Hemphill, of Indepen dence, spent the week-end with Diane Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Miller, of Nevada, spent the week-end with Mrs. Miller's parents, Mr.- and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks. Mr. and Mrs. Josh Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Hall, of Dry Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rolf and Mrs. Weltha Campbell, of Vernal; Noal War and two sons, of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Searle, of Leota, were visitors during the week at the Rile Blackburn home. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Savage and family left Friday to visit with Mr. Savage's brother and sister-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Ervin Savage, of Burley, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. John Shelton and small son and daughter, of Rangely, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Horrocks. Hor-rocks. Roy Taylor, of Bridgeland, visited vis-ited his mother, Roxie Taylor, last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo Van went to Salt Lake City during the week on business. Mrs. Mae Sprouse spent the week-end with her son. Clive Sprouse, and family, of Duchesne. Du-chesne. Bryce Mackay and Beverly Kendall, of Vernal, visited in Lapoint Sunday. Mrs. Lyman Cox has returned to her home in Draper, after visiting vis-iting here with her son, Loyal Cox, and family. |
