To buy an average pair of Chinchillas requires about $1200. However, some of the top animals ani-mals in the United States have sold for ag high as $8500 a pair. Chinchilla breeders are not raising rais-ing their animals for the pelts. They breed them for the purpose of selling live animals to other breeders and to beginners in the business. The true color of the chinchilla chin-chilla is an exquisite tint of soft blue with a faint showing' of grey.
