Show Midvalc Uisits Local Kiwanis; Talks Key Clubs Five Kiwanians from Midyale, headed by Lt. Governor Milton Rigby and President Leon Kas-mussen. Kas-mussen. visited the Roosevelt club last night in an inter-club meeting which was planned to. discuss "Key Clubs" with the local membership. The meeting was presided over by President J. D. Walker and conducted by Cliff Memmott, secretary. The main address was given by P. M. "Pete" Mickelsen. district dis-trict chairman of Key Clubs for the Utah-Idaho district, who clearly outlined the place the youth organization has on a high school campus. He emphasized empha-sized that a Key Club is not designed as a "clique club.' but rather to eliminate such evils that can enter into a campus cam-pus organization. Purpose back of the meeting was to consider the possibility of establishing a Key Club at Union High under the sponsorship of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt club. Another guest of the club was Loman F. Hutchings, principal of Union High school, who outlined out-lined briefly some of the many problems he and his faculty, plus the kids, will have -to work out during the weeks that lie ahead. He expressed a desire to organize any group on the campus that will add dignity and strength to the school and its students. Jewel Kolb, employee of the Campbell Welding Co.. was inducted in-ducted as a new member bv Lt. Gov. Rigby. He was introduced by Dale Ashby, chairman of the membership committee. Next week's meeting will b under the direction of David Watkins, program chairman, who announced it will be an employer-employee relations week, and each member is to bring an employee or his employer. em-ployer.
