Show BRIDGE CLUB MEETS Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb entertained en-tertained their bridge club at their home in Roosevelt Sunday evening. Their guest list included includ-ed Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. Bliss Lott and Mrs. R. H. Burdick. A delicious supper was served, serv-ed, followed by an evening of bridge, with high score prizes awarded to Mrs. Dalgleish and Mr. Robinson, while slam prizes were won by Miss Todd and Mrs. Lott. Mr. and Mrs. James Nowland, former residents of Myton, visited vis-ited Miss Alice Todd. Friday afternoon. They are now living in Blythe, California and were on a vacation trip enroute to Colorado and New Mexico. Morris Jenkins and Bernard Hadden returned Thursday from "boot camp," where they had received two weeks training at the Naval station at San Diego, California. They spent a week visiting places of interest on their journey home. Miss LaVor Murray, who has been vacationing at Boulder City, Nevada, arrived home Friday. Fri-day. She was accompanied by her brother, Dewey, - who had spent a week visiting her and had enjoyed a trip to Lake Ta-hoe Ta-hoe and Reno, Nevada. - Mr:, and, Mrs. Elmer Yergensen Yergen-sen and family returned home lict fmrr a trin in Mon roe and Sigurd. Mr. Yergensen's mother, Mrs. Y. Yergensen, and Mrs. Yergensen's father. A; F. Borg, who have been visitors at the Yergensen ranch home, accompanied them to return to their homes. Miss Ruth Borg, . who was a member of the party, remained in Sigurd for a visit with her father and other relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Purcell and small daughter, of Logan, arrived Sunday to visit Mrs. Purcell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frandsen and daughter, Faye, arrived Saturday Sat-urday from Washington, where Mr. Frandsen is employed. Faye will remain to again take up her studies at the Roosevelt high school, but Mr. and Mrs. Frandsen expect to return to Washington soon. Phyllis and Michael Yergensen. Yergen-sen. who entered a registered Hereford heifer and a registered Holstein heifer at the County Fair in Duchesne last week were among the lucky contestants. Michael earned a red ribbon on his entry, while Phyllis' entry en-try took third place. Carol Ann and Jimmie Jenkins Jen-kins spent a four-day vacation at a Farmers Union camp at Sun Valley, Idaho, returning home Friday. They were accompanied ac-companied by Dick Axtell. Louise Lou-ise Edwards, who had been a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edsel Murphy . in Salt Lake City during1 the past month, returned re-turned with them. |
