Show tteota MelbaEksmid Young Farmers At Idaho Meet Claud Crozier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crozier and Glen-don Glen-don Malnar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malnar, attended a Junior Farmers meeting in Idaho Ida-ho last week, returning home Friday. Out-of-town visitors at the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Mills last week were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Naef and son. Harold, of Eureka, and Leslie Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Davis, of Vernal. Mr. and Mrs, Nael have returned to their home, but Harold remained for a longer visit. Mrs. Rea Wiscombe and children, chil-dren, Arlene, Allen, Carol and Evelyn, of Bountiful, came out recently for a 10-day visit. They brought Mrs. Wiscombe's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Evelyn Rhodes, home. She has been in Salt Lake all summer under the care of a doctor. Mrs. Jerry Powell and small daughter, of Duchesne, spent the week end with Jerry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delias Spencer. Little Tanna and Buzzy Kriss-man, Kriss-man, of Myton. spent the week end with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bastain. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, of Arcadia, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan. Terry Daniels, of Lapoint, is visiting his grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Grant Elmer, at the power plant. The M.I. A. officers and teachers teach-ers of this ward who attended Union meeting in Roosevelt on August 22 were Tal Wardle, Jack Leavitt, Paul Whiting, Warden War-den Olsen, Marjorie Harrison, Melba Eksund, Rose Olsen, Fern Olsen, Irene Henrie, M o 1 1 i e Spencer and Roberta Crozier. The Neola girls softball team played Duchesne Saturday, with Neola the winners. Our guest speaker at Sunday School this week was Mr. Niel-son, Niel-son, of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson Peter-son and daughter, Karen, took Bobby Peterson to his home in Salt Lake Saturday. Dorothy Peterson returned with them to spend the week end. The program in Sacrament meeting Sunday evening was given by the Primary officers and teachers. A number of our people attended at-tended the dancing lessons given by Mr. and Mrs. Yates, of Salt Lake City, last week at Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. Leland Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Riggle, and Mr. and Mrs. Pat Duncan. Visitors at the Ron Eksund home this week were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderton and son, Danny, Mrs. Petra Forakis and Mrs. Erna Hoopes and children, of Whiterocks; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eksund and family, of Vernal; and Mn and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Hoopes and family, of La-point. La-point. Mrs. Bill Gardner and daughter, daugh-ter, Rayma, are visiting in Kam-as. Kam-as. Mrs. Wallace Stevenson is visiting vis-iting for a few days with her mother, Mrs. Lillian Wilkerson. Carma Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Gardner, of Roosevelt, spent the week end at the power plant with Wanda Sprouse. Mrs. Lee, of Vernal, is visiting visit-ing at the homes of her brothers, Theron and LaVell Horrocks. Merlin Perkins is returning to California this week after a furlough spent at home with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Perkins. |
