Show XeetcH-tfehhett Mrs. Fein Houston Friends Join In Birthday Party Mrs. Clair Haslem entertained at a birthday party at her home Tuesday for Mrs. Evelyn Brighton, Brigh-ton, Dr. L. Miles Allen, of Rooaevelt, Mrs. Otis Horrocks, Joyce Bolton and Isola Haslem. John Bolton has been in Salt Lake for the past ten days taking' tak-ing' medical treatment. He is much improved at this writing. Kenneth Long had a birthday recently one of those kind that you have to do something about, so he and his mother went to Vernal B'riday to report to the draft board. The Horrocks family had a reunion at Luke's Hot Pots in Heber City. Sunday. Mrs. Frances Fran-ces Horrocks Bowen and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Horrocks Joined Join-ed their fun-loving relatives during dur-ing the day and returned in the cool of the evening. Charley, Garr and Lorraine Bolton joined the Ft. Duchesne baseball team and entered the tournament which was played at j Myton Saturday. They were! matched against the Deseret Chemical team from the Tooele Ordinance depot. The score was 2 to 15 in favor of Deseret Chemical. The Roosevelt-Myton ' boys played against Pleasant; Grove. J. P. Rudy, of Provo, is visiting vis-iting friends and relatives in' the area. He stayed last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Winfred Long, and Is now visiting in Vernal. A Mutual planning meeting was held Tuesday evening at; the Clair Haslem home. Mr. and Mrs. Don Palmer, of Roseville. Calif., have been visiting with Mrs. Palmer's parents. par-ents. Their son, Glenn D. has spent the summer here and is now. returning to enter school in California. The death of Bart Merkeley will be deeply felt at the home of Winfred Long. Mr. Merkeley had the contract to build their I home and had worked their Friday, intending to return Mon-i Mon-i day. Their son, . Norman, has been working there for some time and will complete the residence, res-idence, Mr. and Mrs, W. H. Coltharp I and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Coltharp 'have returned from a 10-day trip j to Denver. |
