Andreason, principal at Alterra high school during the 1947-48 school year, has been appointed principal of the new Centennial Intermediate school, Norwalk, Cal., which will open for the first time this September. ' Cadet Norman W. Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Long, of Bennett, and Cadet Jay C. Murray, Mur-ray, are among the 800 students now receiving advanced ROTC training at Fort Lewis, Wash. Mrs. Les Mullins, Xavier and Steve Bellon drove to Salina, Saturday to attend funeral services ser-vices for a relative, Mrs. Verda Burns. They returned the same evening, bringing with them Mrs. Mullins' nephews, Jerry and Bart Bellon. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Labrum returned last week from a vacation va-cation trip to Yellowstone national na-tional park. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Col-lette, Col-lette, of California, former residents resi-dents of Roosevelt, arrived in town Friday, July 14, for a few day's visit. Sandy Richman and Lawrence Law-rence Baumgaertel drove to Salt Lake Saturday, where Lawrence enlisted in the Navy. They returned re-turned Monday evening. Lawrence Law-rence reported Wednesday for his physical examination": j Guests at the Thomas Halen home Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs Harvey Nilson, of Syracuse, N Y., who stopped for a visit while enroute to Grand Canyon, Colo., and California. Mr. Nilson is Mrs. Halen's nephew, whom she hasn't seen for 31 years. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Orr, Jr., of Salt Lake City, arrived Fiday evening to attend the wedding of Mrs. Orr's sister, Virginia Gardner, .and Corwin Labrum, held Saturday. They will spend their vacation in Ne-ola Ne-ola as guests or Ivlrs. Orr's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Les Gardner. Lyman Burdick, supervisor of state road shed 56, was taken to Salt Lake Saturday for medical medi-cal aid. According to reports, examination revealed a bvain ; tumor, which was removed Tuesday morning. Peggy Oldroyd and Bonnie White returned Wednesday after af-ter spending 'four days in Salt Lake. They are now vacationing vacation-ing at the ' pillman cabin in Uinta canyori, with Renee and Maurine Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Don Whatcolt and daughter, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bacon and Mi', and Mrs. Marion Alexander. j Mr. and Mrs. George Bacon went to SaltiLake Monday lo secure medical treatment for Mr. Bacon. They will visit in Burley, Ida., with their son and daughter-in-lav, Mr. and Mrs, Jimmy Bacon, before returning home. . . Mr. and Mrs. Mont Killian and son, Bob, and Mrs. Pearl Moysh loft Friday fo,r a week's stay in Sacramento, California. Mr; and Mrs. Johnny Cook visited last week in Elko, Nev., with the John Mohlman family. Mr. and Mrs. Ren Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Alexander and children, and young Stevie Bellon left July 14 on a vacation vaca-tion trip to Yellowstone national nation-al park. Mr. and Mrs. Eimo Nelson, of Bingham, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Homer JCdwards nd Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum. Mr, and Mrs. Dick Harsh and family spent the weekend witli relatives in Salt Lake and Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. They returned Tuesday Tues-day evening, accompanied by JeNeal, Craig and Marvin Pack, children of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Pack, who had been visiting in Tremonton and Logan. Carl Stoneking, of Abraham, Ut., is visiting here with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Murray, and family. Also a guest at the Murray home is Mrs. Murray's mother, Mrs. Nettie Net-tie Stoneking, of San Berna-dino, Berna-dino, Calif. 1st Lt. Kenneth E. Zirker is participating in two weeks of in - the - field training at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Calif., as a member of the United States Marine Corps reserve. He is receiving re-ceiving intensive training in "the amphibious tractor course. Forrest D. Stone, son of Supt. Forrest F. Stone, of Ft. Duchesne Du-chesne received his degree in civil and architectural engineering engineer-ing in June from the University of Wyoming. He is now employed employ-ed by Peter Kiewit Sons company, com-pany, Sheridan, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. Max Gardner drove as far as Denver July 12, and went from there by plane to Flint, Mich., where they purchased pur-chased a new car. They returned home Monday morning. Mrs. M. F. Burrows and two children, and Mrs. Donald Ma.rk-; Ma.rk-; er and three ciiiidren returned to their home in Walnut Creek, after a visit here with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Goodrich.
