Johnson, of Salt Lake City, and others enjoyed a week's fishing trip to the mountains. Ralph and O. Dean Betts sons of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Betts left Thursday for Karbel, Calif' to accept employment. Junior Jenkins, who has been employed in Salt Lake City, went with them. The Relief Society met Tuesday Tues-day to tie a quilt and patch some clothes. The teachers topic was given. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bingham and two children, of Bingham visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. Clara Stolla has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Eric Stolla, of Clearfield. Glen Stanley's father and mother, of Park City, have been visiting at the Stanley home. Mrs. Evelyn Johnson, of California, Cal-ifornia, has been visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Maude Anderson. Mrs. Jerry Hatch was reported report-ed sick last week. Mrs. S. B. Kettle and small granddaughter visited Thursday with Mrs. Ada Pickup, of Rand-lett. Rand-lett. Mrs. Sidney Brighton entertained enter-tained Friday at an English dinner. Guests included Mrs. Mary Collins and Mrs. Reed Hancock, of Roosevelt; Mrs. Vida Betts, Mrs. Dorothy Kettle ind Mrs. Don Mangum, of Ballard, Bal-lard, and Mrs. Dorothy Hassal-ham, Hassal-ham, of Texas. Larry Turner, of Salt Lake City, is spending the summer at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Bil Brisbin. Clara Betts is now visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bill Haws, of Pro-vo, Pro-vo, who are planning to move shortly to Reno, Nev. A group from Ballard attended at-tended a Uintah county dairy tour Tuesday. Earl Gardner and daughter, Marjorie, spent several days last week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Newt Miller, of Montwel, visited one afternoon after-noon last week at the E. C. Boston home. The M.I.A. Special Interest jroup met July 10 at the Golden Gol-den Collinses. Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken Brack-en visited Mr. and Mrs. Alex Sulivan, of" Roosevelt, Sunday afternoon. Russel Todd was in Vernal July 10 to attend a Uintah county school board meeting. He and Mrs. Todd attended a school board party that evening. Mrs. S. A. Brighton, Mrs. Thomas Shisler, and Mrs. E.rna stolla attended the Trail Builders Build-ers fun party Friday evening at the Stake house. Boyd Winn is tearing his old home down, and making pre-oarations pre-oarations to erect a new home in its place. The family is living slsewhere while this is being done. Lynn White has returned from he Scout trip to Valley Forge, Pa. Mrs. Violet Thompson and three children, of Logan, Mrs. Heed Johnson and daughter, of Hyrum; Mrs. Denton Hall and on. of Ogden; Mrs. C. V. Nye and daughter, of Ogden; and Mr. and Mrs. Merrit M. Willis and family, of Reno, Nev., were recent visitors of Mrs. David Lundberg and Mrs. Earl Winn. Mrs. Straussie Birchell and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Birchell and family, of Vernal, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shisler. |
