Show Meet At Home The Junior Gleaner class in Mutual, Mu-tual, with their teacher, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Maxfield, met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weeks Tuesday, Jan. 25. Talks were given giv-en on "What It Means to be a Silver Gleaner," by Florence Weeks; "Personal Fields and Leadership Field," by Sharlene Young; Alta Ames talked on the "Recreation Field;" Carma Chris-tensen Chris-tensen sang a solo; Cleo 'Clark talked on "Study Field." Others present were Mrs. Wm. E. Clark and Mrs. Lawrence Weeks. Re-, freshments were served. Stake dance practice was held in Bluebell Monday night, Jan. 24. Those from Altonah attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb, Bonnie Bon-nie Ann Ames, Coralie Maxfield, Donal Kolb and Ronald Powell. Joseph Swasey, of Boneta, and Willis Potter of Talmage, were speakers in Sacrament meeting, Sunday, Jan. 23rd. Mr. and Mrs. George Easton and family, of Whiterocks, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen. Mack Jacobson was brought home Thursday, Jan. 27th from the Roosevelt Hospital, where he was operated on for appendicitis Saturday, Jan. 22nd. Among those from Altonah attending at-tending the funeral of Mrs. Nancy Wall in Roosevelt, Wednesday, were Mr. and Mrs. Melwell Wall, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wall, Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, Mrs. Minnie Maxfield, Mrs. Lester Maxfield. and Mrs. Mary Carroll. Those from Altonah attending a welfare meeting at Mt. Emmons I Thursday night were Bishop J. Arthur Timothy, Claude Murray, Ty Kolb, Mrs. Margaret Maxfield, Mrs. LaRue Fisher, Mrs. Lucy Jacobson, Albert Clark and Clenty Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Tallcrico, of Dragerton, arrived Friday to visit vis-it with Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Powell. Pow-ell. Mrs. Tallerico and Mrs. Powell Pow-ell are sisters. |
