The local committee, consisting consist-ing of Mrs. Bellon, Mrs. Anthon Christensen and Mrs. Floyd Labrum, announce that Roosevelt Roose-velt went way over the top, and express their appreciation to all of the clubs, schools, theatres, churches and other groups that aided in making the local drive such a huge success. Following is a breakdown of the various organizations and the amount contributed to the Polio fund: Elementary school. $55.77; high school, $8.43; BPW club, $5.00; Ladies Fish and Game, $5.00; Kiwanis club. $52.'i."; American Legion Auxiliary, $10.00; Baptist church, $15.80; LDS church wards, $17.34; Commercial Com-mercial club, $25.00; Roosevelt theatre collections, $95.12; coin boxes, $119.09; Porch light parade, pa-rade, $368.89, making a total of $778.19. Two clubs, the Lions club and the Junior Culture club, will submit their contributions af- ter their meetings this week. |
