Show M. Mable Jem Local Students On Radio Program Mrs. Frances Horrocks, teacher teach-er for the 7th and 8th grades, took some of her students to Vernal last Friday afternoon to present a radio program. Frances Lou Jenkins cared for the children of Mr. and Mrs. George Jenkins while their parents par-ents were on a deer hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Bodily and family attended funeral services for Mrs. Bodily's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, at Leota a week ago Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks, Hor-rocks, Mrs. Reva Workman and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Warburton, Mrs. Dean Huber and daughters, Shirley K. Rich, Rile Blackburn, Mable Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hoops, of Whiterocks, all were in Vernal Ver-nal Monday on business. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Barbara Nyberg,! Sunday, were Mrs. Wes Bastian, of Neola; Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Mark and children, chil-dren, from Los Angeles, California; Cali-fornia; their daughter, Tressie, of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Jerrv Harrison and children. Mrs. Charley Taylor Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Emil Meyers, of Provo, and Mrs. Carl Harrison and Reed, of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Mrs. Ruth Williams, Mrs. Enid Hatch and children, and Mrs. Boyd Williams and children, of Provo, visited Mrs. Margaret Harrison, Tuesday. Miss Berta Woolley, of Salt Lake City, is visiting a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milt Woolley and family. Mrs. Ruth Murray, of White-rocks, White-rocks, visited her mother, Mrs. Barbara Nyberg, Wednesday. Miss Phyllis Miller of Salt Lake City is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Cox, of Huntington, spent the week end with Mrs. Cox's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Nyberg. Mrs. Rhoda Ann Lee and son, Harvey, of Roy, are visiting with her children. Harvey is enjoying a deer hunt. David Burgess, of Osden, visited vis-ited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Burgess over the week end. Kent Taylor, of Logan, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor, coming com-ing out to go on a deer hunt with his father. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Trujillo and children, of Ogden, spent the week end with Mrs. Tru-jillo's Tru-jillo's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merrell Rasmussen, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Acel Haslem and daughter, of Provo, spent the week end with Mrs. Haslem's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Rasmussen. Pete Harrison and Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Woolley, of Camp Roberts, California, are spending, spend-ing, a 10-day furlough with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harrison Har-rison and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Woolley. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Swain and children, of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Sike Thompson and family. They were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Ed-gar Mowrey. Blaine Caldwell has sold his farm to Petro Forakis, who. will take possession on November 1. Mr. Caldwell will move to Vernal. Ver-nal. " The stake missionaries gave the program in Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening. Speakers were Thelma Winn, Rodney Horrocks Hor-rocks and Hayden Foster. |
