Show Send Christmas Mail Early The Post Office Department would like once again to remind the mailing public of the need of their cooperation in preparing prepar-ing Christmas mail. Experience has shown that the hearty cooperation co-operation of the public in preparing pre-paring and mailing Christmas cards and parcels constitutes an fmportant factor In facilitating-their facilitating-their expeditious dispatch and delivery. The following information informa-tion should be given special at tention avoid unnecessary delay de-lay and disappointment. Mail early. Out of slate mail shiuld be mailed before Dec. 11. Purchase stamps in advance of the rush period. Prepay postage pos-tage fully. Make addresses plain and complete. Use zone numbers and all other helpful information. Christmas cards may be mailed mail-ed for 2 cents an ounce if they contain no writing other than "Merry Christmas," etc and name. I Patrons having a number of ' cards are urged to tie them in . bundle's with addresses all faced j one way before mailing Out-of-town and Roosevelt cards should I be tied separately. Pack, wrap and tie packages carefully and do not seal them. I Enclose a slip containing the j name and address of the sender and addressee. Parcels may be marked "Do not ooen until Christmas," "Merry Christmas," etc. However, do not enclose writing in ths packages. |
