Show tfltonah Mrs. Ethel Beebe Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith and Mrs. Elva Snyder received word of the arrival of a grandchild grand-child on Oct. 5, a son, born to Mr. and Mrs. Willard Snyder, of China Lake, California. Mr. and Mrs. Barton Saris snd Marie Hyatt, of Salt Lake City, spent last weekend with home folks. Jesse " A. Fowler returned I home last week-end from serving serv-ing as a juiyman in Salt Lake for two weeks. Gilbert Beebe came home Monday afternoon from Mt. Ne-bo Ne-bo with a 500 lb. elk. The daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their regular meeting Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Mary Carroll. Car-roll. The lessen, "Early School Days," was given by Francis Allred. A delicious lunch was served to Mrs. Ruby Powell. Mrs. Margaret Maxfield, Mrs! Twila Ralphs, Mrs. Alora Kolb, Mrs. Bertha' Ralphs, Mrs. Minnie Min-nie Maxfield, Mrs. Reba Timothy, Timo-thy, Mrs. LaRue Fisher, Mrs. Francis Allred, Mrs. Marian Reece, Mrs. Mary Riley, Mrs. Lola Jones. .Mrs. Ray Riley, of Salt Lake was a visitor. Clinton B o w d e n took his mother to Salt Lake City Thursday Thurs-day to be with her sister, Mrs. Melissa Johnson, who had suffered suf-fered a stroke. Mr. Bowden returned re-turned home the same day. Sharlene Young had her tonsils ton-sils removed at the Roosevelt hospital Thursday morning. Albert Clark and his counselors, counsel-ors, Charley Allred and Jerald Jacobson were released as the leaders of the M.I.A. in Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday. Clenty Ames was chosen president. His counsejlors will be named later. Mrs. Arda Ames, Mrs. Mary Young and daughter, Sharlene, Mrs. Madelyn Perkins, Mrs. Violet Vio-let Smith and daughter, Barbara, Barba-ra, Mrs. Vevie Ray and daughter, daugh-ter, Mary Ann, Sharel Ames and Mrs. Ethel Beebe attended the shower for Mr. and Mrs. Chad Snedeger in the Mt. Emmons ward hall Saturday afternoon. Blaine Corbin drove the mail Saturday, while Lloyd Farns-worth Farns-worth was in Salt Lake on business busi-ness over the -week-end. The ladies of the Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. Dora Berd Saturday night. Leonia Titcomb, the girl the Auxiliary sponsored at Girls' State, gave her report. Members present were Dora Christenson, Maxine Clark, Mary Carroll, Lola Jones, Thelma Dunsmore, Dora Berd' Ruby McMillen1, Belva Allred' Beverley Fieldstead, Myrtle Fowler and LeVeada Titcomb Mr. and Mrs. Corns LaRpse and family moved to Whiterocks during the week, Mrs. Robert Snyder and family fam-ily and Albert Snyder, of Springville, were weekend visitors vis-itors at the home of Mrs. Elva Snyder. Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb left for California Thursday to attend at-tend the wedding of Mrs. Kolb's sister. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Clark and Mrs. Mary Carroll made a trip to Salt Lake City Saturday, returning re-turning the same day. The Stake M.I.A. leadership meeting was held in the Altonah ward hall Saturday night. Games, dancing and refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed by mem-I mem-I bers of the various wards. |
